Lisa Mardell

Lisa Mardell specialises in evocative images of horses and landscapes. In her equine work her inspiration comes from the majestic Lusitanos of Portugal, the ranch horses of the United States and the white horses of the Camargue in France. She also enjoys creating abstract and impressionistic landscapes and is inspired by the colours and the constantly shifting focus of the sea, and from her travels Her work is sold through galleries in the south east of England and at exhibitions. Over the last few years, her photography has appeared in photographic and travel magazines, including Sunday Times Travel, Wanderlust, the Telegraph travel website, Practical Photography and outdoor Photography, as well as in brochures for Canon cameras to illustrate their lenses, She has twice been shortlisted for the Wanderlust Travel Photographer of the Year award, other achievements include second place in Digital Photographer magazine's Action Photographer of the Year competition and a finalist place in the Scottish Nature Photography Awards two years in a row, She has also won a gold award for one of her colour prints of the iconic horses of the Camargue from the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.
